GIVE HEDGEHOGS A CHANCE!

Sadly hedgehogs are hugely  in decline but we do have some in this parish. Look out for their footprints and their poo which will give an indication whether you have them in your vicinity.
Click on each photograph to find out where these hedgehogs were found.

A 10  POINT GUIDE TO SAVING OUR HEDGEHOGS.

1. Link your garden to others with a hole in the fence or under the fence to let the hedgehogs roam.
2. Plant a hedge instead of a fence.
3. Make your pond safe so hedgehogs can climb out.
4. Keep netting off the ground and make sure it is taut.
5. Create a wild area in your garden.
6. Check long grass and foliage before cutting.
7. Don`t stick a fork in the compost heap/bonfire before checking for hedgehogs first.
8. Keep drains covered.
9. Check for hedgehogs before strimming your lawn.
10. Create a woodpile.
